At least 5 million people in Ukraine have lost their jobs

Tetiana Berezhna, deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, has announced that at least 5 million people in Ukraine have lost their jobs at the Polish-Ukrainian Economic Forum.

"The war is ruining the job market of Ukraine. Combat is ongoing in the territory where 10 million people were employed. At least 5 million people have lost their jobs", – Berezhna remarked.
She announced that nearly 7 million Ukrainians have fled the country due to the hostilities which significantly influenced the increase in unemployment. At the moment one of the key priorities of the government is the stabilisation and restoration of the economy, development of the labour market and bringing the Ukrainian citizens back.
Berezhna added that nearly 1.5 million Ukrainians acquired temporary protection in the neighbouring country of Poland.
