Russia struck Sumy Oblast with 140 shells and mines in a day

On 2 November, Russian troops fired 140 different shells and dropped mines on the Sumy Oblast – several houses, a shop, the water supply system, and power lines were damaged.

Quote from Zhyvytskyy: "Today, the enemy shelled the border area seven times. And they fired more than 140 different shells and mines at the hromadas [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories] of the oblast."

Details: In the Shalyhyne hromada, on the outskirts of one of the border villages, Russians began firing machine guns at about 8:00. And after noon, the same territory was hit with mortars (10 strikes). No damage. 

The Esman hromada was shelled four times during the day. Russians used mortars on the border area twice. There were 28 strikes in total. Subsequently, there were four machine-gun bursts. And after 16:00, Russians hit the area from a rocket-propelled artillery system (16 strikes). As a result, power lines were damaged. A private house, shop and water supply system were also destroyed.

The Myropillia hromada was shelled three times from Russia. After noon, mortars were fired from the territory of the Russian Federation at border villages. There were 28 strikes in total. Subsequently, the same territories were shelled from self-propelled guns. There were 34 strikes. The explosions caused a fire. There was damage to a residential building, an outdoor kitchen, a basement, and a garage.

Velyka Pysarivka hromada: a mortar attack (5 strikes) was conducted from Russia on one of the villages of the hromada. No damage.

Yunakivka hromada: Russians shelled the border area with self-propelled guns (8 strikes). There was no destruction.

Seredyna-Buda: there was also an attack from self-propelled guns (7 strikes). No damage.
