President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he is not sure that the Russian Federation will use nuclear weapons, but refused to predict Russia's actions.

Source: The President of Ukraine, in an interview for Czech television, published on Zelenskyy’s Facebook page on 2 November.

The president was asked whether he thinks that nuclear war is possible, because Russia is threatening to use nuclear weapons.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "I'm not sure. I don't even want to predict [the actions of the Russian Federation], because Russia likes to do the opposite...

‘What do they say in Ukraine? "There will be no use of nuclear weapons," oh, let's think about how to use them.’ Thus, I don't want to give an assessment because there is such a threat. I believe that there is no need to fear this. There is no need to fear Russia.

I don't think they [the Russians- ed.] are rational. You should not associate Russia's ultimatums or the failure to meet their conditions with the idea that they will use [nuclear] weapons. These are unrelated things."
