Zelenskyy convenes meeting of Staff of Supreme Commander-in-Chief

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held the regular meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Wednesday, 2 November.

Quote: "The Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces and the commanders of the operational area forces reported on the current situation at the contact zone.

The intelligence representatives reported on the defensive and offensive capabilities of the enemy. The following steps to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine were agreed upon."

Details: The progress of the reconstruction of critical infrastructure facilities which had been destroyed in Russian missile attacks the day before was discussed at the meeting.

It is reported that Zelenskyy emphasised the need to speed up work on forming an effective air defence for Ukraine.

The meeting’s attendees also considered the issues of providing units with ammunition and preparing troops for the winter period.

The meeting was attended by: Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine; Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council; Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine; Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Kyrylo Budanov, Head of Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine; Oleksandr Litvinenko, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service; Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ground Forces; and military commanders of operational areas.

The meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was also attended by: Denys Monastyrsky, Minister of Internal Affairs; Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Infrastructure; other members of the government, and the heads of security services and law enforcement agencies.
