Russian Wagner Group recruits industrial plant workers to fight in Ukraine

The Wagner Group, a Russian private military company (PMC), has started to actively recruit industrial plant workers in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast to fight in Ukraine.

Details: The General Staff reported that the Wagner Group has reached an agreement with the management of the Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant (in Stary Oskol, Belgorod Oblast) according to which workers of conscription age will participate in a 30-day military training course at a Wagner Group base; the plant workers will continue to receive their salaries.

Up to 25% of all conscription-age workers will take part in the training at a time. Upon completion, they will be offered the option to sign a contract with the Wagner Group.
