The most difficult situation is currently observed in the west of Ukraine, as well as in the central and northeastern oblasts. To stabilise the energy system of Ukrenergo, emergency shutdown schedules were used, thanks to which Ukraine avoided a blackout, or a complete power outage.

Kudrytskyi has noted that electricians immediately began restoring power supply to consumers and damaged networks and power plants, and will work 24/7 to restore electricity to residents of the cities.

Quote: "At the same time, the next few days will be difficult: the cold weather is approaching and the consumption of electricity will increase, accordingly, the load on the networks will also increase. Therefore, we ask you to be understanding about the shutdowns, which will be implemented as necessary, and also do not leave the habit of using electricity sparingly", warned Kudrytskyi.

He has added that although Ukrenergo has an action plan for various situations, including the worst, Ukrainians should be prepared for significant interruptions in energy supply and have the necessary supply of water, charged devices and power banks.
