"Ready to defend every inch of NATO territory": Estonian Foreign Ministry on Russian missiles in Poland
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia has expressed its solidarity with Poland after reports of Russian missiles falling on its land and causing the death of two people.
This is reported by European Pravda.
"Latest news from Poland is most concerning. We are working closely with Poland and other allies. Estonia is ready to defend every inch of NATO territory. We’re in full solidarity with our close ally Poland," the Estonian Foreign Ministry posted on Twitter.
Earlier, Minister of Defence of Latvia Artis Pabriks stated that Russian missiles fell in Poland and expressed his support of "Polish brothers in arms".
As it was reported earlier, on Tuesday afternoon, Russia carried out a massive missile attack on Ukraine; missiles hit not far from the border with Poland. After this, Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki urgently convened a meeting of the Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defence.
According to information from AP News, American intelligence has confirmed that Russian missiles entered the air space of Poland on Tuesday; as a result, two people were killed.
The Polish side has not officially confirmed that the incident is related to Russia.
