Russian massive attack: air defence shoots down over 70 missiles, but 15 energy infrastructure facilities were hit
Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the President’s Office, has reported that 70 out of 90 Russian missiles were shot down; however, more than 7 million people have been left without power as of now.

Details: According to Tymoshenko, there are power outages in the city of Kyiv and the following oblasts: Vinnytsia, Volyn, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv.
At the moment, more than 7 million users are without power supply.
According to preliminary data from the Air Force, 73 Russian cruise missiles and all 10 kamikaze drones have been destroyed.
Background:
- On 15 November, Russian missiles targeted the city of Kyiv, as well as Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Volyn, Lviv and Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava and Kharkiv oblasts.
- Air defence systems were activated in the city of Kyiv and in Chernihiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Zhytomyr and Ternopil oblasts.
- In total, according to the Air Force of Ukraine, Russian invaders launched around 100 missiles on Ukraine, making this the most large-scale attack to date. During the most recent such strike, on 10 October, Russia launched 84 missiles on Ukraine.
