Russian units relocate from Skadovsk and Henichesk districts of Kherson Oblast to Crimea

Some units of the Russian occupation forces have withdrawn from the cities of Skadovsk and Henichesk in Kherson Oblast and are moving towards Russian-occupied Crimea.

Details: Russian forces are attempting to maintain control over the temporarily occupied territories, focusing their efforts on deterring the Ukrainian Armed Forces on several fronts, and continuing to reinforce their defence lines on the left bank of the Dnipro River. They are also conducting offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka fronts. 

Over the course of Tuesday, 15 November, Russian forces carried out a large-scale missile strike on military and civilian infrastructure in several Ukrainian oblasts. Information about the outcomes of the operation of Ukraine’s air defence systems and of Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure facilities has yet to be confirmed. 

Meanwhile, Russian forces are continuing to fire on the positions of Ukrainian troops and on Ukrainian settlements situated along the line of contact.

In particular, the Russians fired on military and civilian targets on the following fronts:

  • On the Sivershchyna front: Russian forces deployed tubed artillery to fire on areas in and around Ryzhivka, Kindrativka and Slavohrad (Sumy Oblast);
  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front: Russian forces deployed mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Starytsia and Bochkove;
  • On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts: Russian forces deployed all types of artillery at their disposal to fire on areas in and around Nevske, Kyslivka, Rozdolivka, Ploshchanka, Makiivka and Spirne;
  • On the Bakhmut front: the Russians deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Bakhmut, Bilohorivka and New-York;
  • On the Avdiivka front: the Russians used various types of artillery to fire on areas in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka, Vodiane and Nevelske;
  • On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: the Russians fired on areas in and around Prechystivka, Pavlivka, Vremivka, Zaliznychne, Stepnohirsk and Mali Shcherbaky using mortars and tubed and rocket artillery;
  • On the Kherson front: Russian forces deployed mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire in the vicinity of Dobra Nadiia.

The General Staff has confirmed the losses that Russian forces sustained over the course of the day, including 10 military personnel killed near Blahovishchenka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast). Five pieces of Russian military equipment and an ammunition storage point have been destroyed, and 35 Russian soldiers have been injured. Over 50 Russian soldiers additionally sustained injuries in Melitopol (also in Zaporizhzhia Oblast).

Over the course of Tuesday, 15 November, Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck four clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment, two ammunition storage points and one other critical military target.
