Details: Zelensyy noted that he visited the city of Kherson prior to joining the G20 summit via a video call.
His account of the situation in Kherson preceded his 10 proposals that comprise Ukraine’s "formula for peace."
Quote from Zelenskyy: "Kherson is one of the key cities in the south of our country and the only regional centre that Russia has been able to occupy since 24 February.
And now Kherson has been liberated.
What are the implications of this? For Ukraine, our Defence Forces’ liberation operation is reminiscent of many battles of the past, which became turning points in past wars. Those battles symbolised changes, which made it clear who would be victorious even though the ultimate victory still had to be fought for.
It is like D-Day, for example, the landing of the Allies in Normandy. It was not yet a final blow in the fight against evil, but it determined the entire further course of events. This is exactly what we are feeling now. Now that Kherson is free."
