Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian attack near 13 settlements – General Staff report

Ukraine’s defence forces have repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of 13 cities, towns and villages in Luhansk and Donetsk Oblasts.

Details: Over the course of the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s defence forces have repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Stelmakhivka and Novoselivske in Luhansk Oblast, and Torske, Bakhmut, Bilohorivka, Spirne, Toretsk, Krasnohorivka, Pervomaiske, Marinka, Novomykhailivka and Pavlivka in Donetsk Oblast. 

Mop-up operations are underway in the liberated cities, towns and villages in Kherson Oblast. Russian forces are continuing to reinforce defence lines on the left bank of the River Dnipro.

Russian forces carried out 4 missile strikes and 16 airstrikes, as well as over 40 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS).

More than 20 Ukrainian cities, towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts came under Russian fire.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. The Republic of Belarus and Russia are continuing to form a joint military unit on Belarusian territory.

On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets:

  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front: Russian forces deployed various types of artillery to fire on areas in an around Ternova, Bolohivka, Vilkhuvatka, Zelene, Kolodiazne, Ohirtseve and Starytsia;
  • On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts: Russian forces deployed tank guns and artillery of various calibres to fire on areas in and around Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Rozdolivka, Siversk, Kyslivka, Nevske, Makiivka, Ploshchanka and Tabaivka;
  • On the Bakhmut front: the Russians deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Maiorsk, Ozarianivka, Ivanhrad, Verkhnokamianske, Zelenopillia, Spirne and New-York;
  • On the Avdiivka front: the Russians deployed tank guns all types of artillery at their disposal to fire on areas in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Marinka, Vodiane, Kamianka, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka;
  • On the Novopavlivka front: the Russians fired on areas in and around Vremivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Pavlivka, Poltavka, Paraskoviivka and Prechystivka using tank guns and various types of artillery;
  • On the Zaporizhzhia front: Russian forces deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Malynivka, Novodanylivka, Novopil, Olhivske;
  • On the Tavriia front: Russian forces deployed various types of artillery to fire on areas in and around Mylove, Zolota Balka and Mykhailivka.

The General Staff reported that social unrest was growing in Brest Oblast in Belarus, especially in areas where the newly arrived Russian units have been deployed. Local hospitals are overwhelmed by Russian military personnel getting ill due to unsatisfactory living conditions in encampments. Medical staff are forced to deny service to Belarusian citizens in need of treatment.

The General Staff additionally said that a reinforcement consisting of recently conscripted Russian soldiers arrived in the Russian-occupied city of Melitopol (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) on 12 November. Following their arrival, these soldiers have bought large quantities of food and alcohol, as well as civilian clothes.

Over the course of the past 24 hours, Ukrainian aircraft carried out 13 airstrikes on Russian forces, striking 8 clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment and 5 anti-aircraft missile systems.
