Russian Defence Ministry on its retreat from Kherson: “manoeuvre” going as planned

The Ministry of Defence of Russia, referring to its retreat from the right bank of Kherson Oblast, has stated that the "manoeuvre" is going "strictly according to the approved plan".

Details: The Russians are not focusing on Kherson itself, although all of the city is located on the right bank of the Dnipro River.

• Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported on Thursday that Ukraine had liberated 12 settlements near Kherson on 9 November.
• On the afternoon of 9 November, Sergei Surovikin, commander of the Russian troops in Ukraine, announced that the Russian Federation was transferring its troops to the left bank of the Dnipro River; that is, they are leaving Kherson.
