Quote: "Active defence. That’s what our troops will do if the enemy decides to undertake another offensive from the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
As soon as [Russian forces] cross Ukraine’s state border, [the Ukrainian Armed Forces] will respond with intensive and large-scale fire.
The enemy will be met with traps or unpleasant surprises on every road and path, in every forest and on every hill. Their losses will be enormous."
Details: The General Staff stressed that all available defence structures will be deployed, mines will be planted throughout the territory where the potential offensive might unfold, and fougasses [improvised mortars constructed by making a hollow in the ground or rock and filling it with explosives and projectiles - ed.] will be constructed in order to repel Russia’s military aggression.
Units of Special Forces, Ground Forces, Air Force and Rocket Forces and Artillery will all be deployed to repel the Russian attack.
