Ukrainian radio is back in liberated Kharkiv region

Broadcasting by Ukrainske Radio is gradually being restored in the liberated Kharkiv region.

Quote: "From now on, Channel One of Ukrainske Radio will be broadcast in the Vovchansk hromada [amalgamated territorial community] and adjacent territories.
Debris removal work is currently underway at the radio stations in Balakliia, Kupiansk and Izium. After the radio stations have been supplied with electricity, rebuilding work will begin."
Details: Syniehubov said the occupiers knew how important access to information is, so "the first thing they did in the occupied territories was destroy the critical information infrastructure".
Background:
- At the beginning of September, the Armed Forces of Ukraine started a counter-offensive in the Russian-occupied territory of Kharkiv Oblast.
- On 8 September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the news of the liberation of Balakliia in Kharkiv Oblast. On 10 September, the Russians fled from Izium.
- On 13 September, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence reported that during the few days of their counter-offensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had liberated more than 300 settlements, which corresponds to 3,800 sq. km in Kharkiv Oblast.
- The counter-offensive has proceeded less rapidly since then, but on 3 October it was announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had liberated the village of Borova, followed by the villages of Bohuslavka and Borivska Andriivka in Kharkiv Oblast on 4 October.
