Ukraine is trying to bring back 32 deported children to their parents – Vereshchuk

The Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine is working on bringing back 32 children who had been deported to Russia and even illegally adopted there. Their parents are waiting for them in Ukraine.

Quote: "We know the identities of the kidnapped children and will demand that Russia brings them back. As of today, the work is being done to return 32 children who are currently on the territory of the Russian Federation but have parents in Ukraine who want to have their children back".
Details: Vereshchuk states that there are instances of illegal adoption of the children deported to Russia. She remarked that such "parents" will be prosecuted.
Background:
- On 6 October Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, reported that Russia has forcibly deported over 1.6 million Ukrainians. Many of them went through filtration camps and were left with no documents.
- Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 236 Ukrainian children are considered missing, and at least 7,343 children were deported.
