Russia has appointed a new commander of the Eastern Military District - Rustam Muradov, who previously commanded Russian troops in the occupied Donbas.

Details: According to Melikov, Muradov has combat experience gained in Chechnya and Syria.

Muradov previously commanded Russian troops in the occupied Donbas.

Recently, the Western Military District commander for the Russian Federation was also replaced - Lieutenant General Roman Berdnikov, who previously headed the group of Russian troops in Syria, was appointed to this post.
