Ukrainian forces take down 15 UAVs and more than 300 occupiers

Over the past day, 5 October, the Armed Forces of Ukraine took down 15 Russian UAVs, 3 missile systems, 14 tanks, and killed approximately 330 occupiers.

Details: The Russian forces have suffered their greatest losses on the Kramatorsk, Avdiivka and Kryvyi Rih fronts.
Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February and 6 October 2022 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:
- Approximately 61,330 (+330) military personnel;
- 2,449 (+14) tanks;
- 5,064 (+26) armoured combat vehicles;
- 1,424 (+10) artillery systems;
- 344 (+3) multiple-launch rocket systems;
- 177 (+0) air defence systems;
- 266 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
- 232 (+0) helicopters;
- 1,047 (+15) operational-tactical UAVs;
- 246 (+0) cruise missiles;
- 15 (+0) ships/boats;
- 3,854 (+13) vehicles and fuel tankers;
- 134 (+2) other vehicles and equipment.

Background:
- Ukrainian air defence units have destroyed nine Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in Ukraine’s south. Russia used these drones to attack Ukraine on the night of 5-6 October.
