As stated in President Zelenskyy’s posts on Twitter, he discussed massive missile strikes by Russia on civilian infrastructure and the Black Sea initiative, which Russia suspended, with both Guterres and Scholz.
Held talks with UN Secretary-General @antonioguterres. Confirmed 🇺🇦 commitment to the Grain Deal. We're ready to remain a guarantor of🌎food safety. Informed about the consequences of the missile terror & nuclear blackmail by the RF. The reaction of the world & 🇺🇳 must be tough!

Zelenskyy also talked about Russia’s nuclear blackmail with the UN Secretary General. He also called on the German Chancellor to supply more air defence systems.
Had a call with 🇩🇪 Chancellor @OlafScholz. Informed about missile terror by RF. Grateful to 🇩🇪 for the air defense provided. We must build an air shield over 🇺🇦. Stressed the importance of continuing the Grain Initiative. We must not allow the world to be blackmailed with hunger!

On 29 October, Russia announced the suspension of the Black Sea Initiative, allegedly because of "a terrorist attack" in Sevastopol Bay on Saturday morning. The Ministry of Defence of Russia stated that vessels of the Black Sea Fleet that were allegedly involved in providing safety for a grain corridor were the targets of the attack.
As European Pravda has written previously, the Black Sea Initiative can work even without Russia’s participation if that’s the will of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey. The implementation of this scenario has already started.
