Occupiers want to make up for losses with members of private military companies: they withdraw troops from Mali – General Staff

Additionally, Russian military mercenaries are trying to create an aircraft formation [presumably, consisting of the aforementioned members of private military companies] that can be used in Ukraine. However, proficiency of pilots who use various modifications of Mi-8 does not allow them to perform certain combat tasks. The payments that have been reduced in comparison to that in Syria also affect motivation of flight personnel negatively.

The General Staff has published the data regarding the situation on all fronts.

There are no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. The Republic of Belarus supports the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Russia keeps sending separate units to the territory of Belarus. A threat of launching missile strikes and using attack drones from the territory of this country remains.

The Russians opened fire on other fronts:

  • On the Sivershchyna front: from mortars and tubed artillery, hitting Mezenivka village in Sumy Oblast;
  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front: from tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery, striking the settlements of Dvorichna, Zelene, and Kamianka;
  • On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts: from mortars, tubed and rocket artillery, on areas in and around Berestove, Hrekivka, Zarichne, Nevske, and Stelmakhivka;
  • On the Bakhmut front: from tanks and artillery of different calibres, hitting Bilohorivka, Klishchiivka, Mayorsk, Opytne, Spirne, Yakovlivka, and Zelenopillia;
  • On the Avdiivka front: from tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery, near Vodiane, Novobakhmutivka, and Pervomaiske;
  • On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: from tanks and artillery of different types, striking Vremivka, Vuhledar, and Pavlivka;
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front: from tanks and artillery of different types, on areas in and around Novodanylivka, Chervone, and Zaliznychne.

Ukrainian aircraft carried out 14 strikes on the occupiers over the day. 12 of them landed on clusters of weapons and military equipment; one more hit a platoon stronghold, and another one struck an air defence system. Ukrainian units of air defence shot down two helicopters (Ka-52 and Mi-8) and two UAVs.
