Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the need for anti-missile and anti-aircraft defence systems after a Russian missile falls in Moldova

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reiterated the need for anti-missile and anti-aircraft defence systems after a Russian missile fell in Moldova on Monday morning.

"Ukraine constantly talks about it: the Russian Federation is waging a war not only against Ukraine, but also against Europe. Rocket attacks launched by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian cities from the Black Sea, Belarus, Russia, or the Caspian Sea pose a direct threat to the security of neighbouring countries," emphasised Nikolenko.

That is why, according to the spokesman for Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is critically important that Ukraine receives modern anti-missile and anti-aircraft defence systems as soon as possible. "These systems will save people's lives and protect critical infrastructure," Nikolenko stated.

In Moldova, on the morning of 31 October, a Russian rocket fell in the village of Naslavcea in the Ocnița district in the north of the country.

As reported by Moldova’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, the rocket was shot down by a Ukrainian air defence system and fell on the northern edge of the settlement, located on the border with Ukraine.
