The freed PoWs include 12 members of the National Guard of Ukraine, including 2 members of the Azov Regiment, 18 marines, 8 border guards, 9 members of the Territorial Defence of Ukraine, 3 members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 2 civilians.
Some soldiers who defended the Azovstal plant in Mariupol are also coming back home. We managed to swap the head of the surgical department of the military hospital of Mariupol, who had been at the Azovstal plant, and a young military surgeon of the 65th military mobile hospital.
We liberated a marine whose wife has recently been liberated, a volunteer from Mariupol with the symbolic nickname "Moscow" and a marine from Zmiinyi (Snake) Island."
Details: Yermak states that some soldiers who had been captured in the Chornobyl zone were also liberated.
Ruslan Muzychuk, spokesperson for the National Guard of Ukraine, told Ukrainska Pravda that seven servicemen who had been captured at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and forcibly evacuated from there were liberated.
Meanwhile, Russian soldiers and the Ministry of Defence of Russia are claiming that the swap was conducted according to the "50 for 50" formula.
