Quote from SSU: "He [detainee] collected intelligence on the locations [physical coordinates] of temporary deployments and movement of units of our Defense Forces in the region.

His primary tasks included the identification of the possible combat positions of HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and long-range British M777 howitzers near the front line.

This collaborator pinpointed numerous missile strikes on Nikopol, in particular on energy infrastructure facilities, and "reported" to the occupiers the likely consequences of these air attacks.

Details: According to the SSU, the Russian accomplice is a resident of the village of Vyshchetarasivka in the Nikopol district.

According to the prosecutor's office, in October 2022, this collaborator with anti-Ukrainian sympathies recorded and transmitted information regarding the locations of Ukrainian forces, unit movements, military equipment and combat launches of UAVs by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The intruder transmitted the collected data, along with the GPS coordinates, to representatives of the Russian Federation through Telegram messenger.

The collaborator provided his Russian handlers with the coordinates of the location of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Google Maps, which at that time had been attacking Russian military facilities, and sent them a message with a demand for an urgent attack on the positions of the Ukrainian military.

The man was exposed while carrying out another Russian task.

The SSU Investigators informed the detainee that he was under suspicion of treason committed under martial law.

The prosecutor’s office reported that the court had already arrested the suspect.
