Zelenskyy calls on China not to sit on the fence, but send a message to Russia

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on China to send a message to Russia so that it will stop its war against Ukraine.

Quote: "I would like it [China] to evaluate the situation, not to keep balancing, but to send a message to the world and to Russia that it has to stop this war. I think this will have an impact. 

I believe that the relations between the US, Europe, the Arab world and China are on such a level that they have to agree on a joint position with regard to Russia. This is what I mean when I mention geopolitical isolation."

Details: Zelenskyy expressed his hope that China "will not support Russia". 

"It [China] is not supporting it [Russia] now. There are certain matters regarding sanctions, banks and the financial situation where they are working together, but this is not total, and that is very good. It [China] is not supporting [Russia] with weapons, and this is also very important, because China and its society have, I hope, started to realise that Russia and its nuclear weapons threats, and the occupation of the nuclear power plant - these are not just words, these are real facts… I think that after Bucha, Mariupol and so on, people started to realise that they really are unreasonable," the President said.
