Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration shows damage from Russian morning strikes

THURSDAY, 27 OCTOBER 2022, 15:36 

The Russian invaders attacked Khotin hromada [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories - ed.] in Sumy Oblast from Grad multiple rocket launchers and tubed artillery on the morning of 27 October; explosions rang out in one of the villages, where five private houses were damaged.

Quote: "Khotin hromada also suffered from the explosions that were heard this morning in Sumy. The Russians shelled one of the hromada’s villages from artillery at 7:40. The Ruscists aimed rounds from Grad multiple rocket launchers and 33 munitions from 155 mm calibre tubed artillery. The explosions rang out in the village centre: five private houses were damaged.. 

 

Details: The Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration added that a munition struck one house but did not explode. Fortunately, a grandmother who had been living there in the past was taken to a neighbouring village by her daughter. 

Additionally, a piece of shrapnel went through two walls in a library and a dispensary. The employees miraculously were not injured.

According to Zhyvytskyi, there is damage at the local agricultural enterprise, too. A piece of shrapnel injured a guard dog, it went into shock. 

In addition, power transmission lines and internet connection lines were damaged, as well.

 
 

The Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration pointed out that electrical engineers, gas workers, utility services of the hromada, law enforcement officers, and bomb disposal experts are already working at the site.
