About 1000 bodies of the dead were exhumed in liberated territories

About 1000 bodies of dead soldiers and civilians have been exhumed in the recently liberated territories of Ukraine.

Quote: "As a result of the search operations, about 1000 bodies of fallen heroes and civilians have already been exhumed. In particular, almost 450 at the site of one of the largest mass burial sites in Izium.
The shocking facts about the atrocities of the occupiers are being revealed: the dead include not only military personnel but also civilians, including both adults and children. But the exact information will become known only after expert analysis."
Details: The exhumation operation continues in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, bomb disposal engineers and search groups created in the Oblast Military Administration.

Background:
- On 23 September, the exhumation of those murdered by the Russian occupiers from a mass burial site was completed in the liberated city of Izium in Kharkiv Oblast; a total of 447 bodies, including children, were exhumed.
- On 25 September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that two more mass burial sites with hundreds of bodies were found in the liberated Izium of Kharkiv Oblast.
- On 17 October, it was reported that law enforcement officers have already exhumed 187 bodies from the mass burial site of those killed by the occupiers in the city of Lyman. Among them are 35 military personnel and 152 civilians.
