Details: The main goal of the campaign will be reducing the peoples’ desire for self-determination.
For this purpose, so-called "agents of influence" will disseminate beliefs about the terrorist or even Nazi-style tendencies of any national movements in the informational and political spheres in Russia and abroad.
The regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin considers national liberation movements as one of the key threats to the unity and even the very existence of Russia.
Quote: "The goal of this campaign is to undermine the international support for the right of societies to protect their rights, language, and culture. In addition, [it aims to] to form a negative attitude towards the peoples of the Russian Federation within Ukrainian society, who suffer from their imperial politics. Traditionally, the first ones to fall under the influence of Russian propaganda are the peoples of the Caucasus, who are actively fighting for their right to self-determination. In particular, [this concerns] the opposition in Chechnya."
Background: On 25 September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia is using mobilisation to kill members of the indigenous populations of occupied Crimea as well as of the Caucasus, Siberia and other territories of the Russian Federation.
