Details: Steffi Lemke, Germany’s Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection, and Oleksii Chernyshov, Ukraine’s Minister for Communities and Territories Development, have reached a preliminary agreement about this instalment of aid for Ukraine.
Chernyshov said that the sides will work out the final details of the agreement in the near future.
Quote from Chernyshov: "Under circumstances in which Ukraine’s infrastructure is under constant threat of terrorist attacks, we need to do everything we can to ensure Ukraine has reserve capacities and Ukrainian people have heat, power and water.
We will use the funds given by Germany to purchase all the equipment required to ensure this, including mobile generators, automatic water pumps and mobile thermoelectric power plants. Ukraine will have access to alternative sources of energy."
