Ukraine’s Armed Forces destroy Russian Osa air defence missile system

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed a Russian Osa anti-aircraft missile system [codenamed SA-8 Gecko by Nato -ed.] in Ukraine’s south.

Details: In addition to Osa missile system, the combat losses of the Russian forces in Ukraine’s south are estimated to be as follows:
- 40 military personnel
- 3 tanks
- 6 armoured vehicles
- 3 ammunition storage points in Beryslav and Kakhovka districts
Six Russian tanks were significantly damaged, and the Ural tank was symbolically captured.
A Shahed-131 kamikaze drone was also downed.
Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery units performed 246 firing missions.
Ukrainian aircraft carried out five attacks on Russian air defence positions, on a strong point and on a cluster of manpower, weapons and equipment.
Reminder: The Armed Forces of Ukraine downed three Russian Ka-52 attack helicopters on 24 October.
