Ukrainian Red Cross demands strict measures against Russian Red Cross for fundraising for Russia’s mobilised

The Ukrainian Red Cross is calling on the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement partners to introduce "strict measures" against the Russian Red Cross, after it became known that the Russian Red Cross is raising money for the families of those mobilised to fight against Ukraine.

Details: The Ukrainian Red Cross has pointed out that the Russian Red Cross is once again violating the principle of neutrality by starting to support the political campaign #МЫВМЕСТЕ (We stand together), initiated by Moscow, which provides assistance to military personnel.

Background: The Russian Red Cross is a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (not to be confused with the International Committee of the Red Cross) - an international humanitarian movement involving about 97 million volunteers worldwide.
The stated purpose of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is "to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found… To protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being…It makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions."
The International Committee of the Red Cross and the Red Cross Society in Ukraine are not affiliated with the Russian Red Cross.
