Quote: "The Russian military command has problems with providing material support to its mobilised citizens. For example, on the Kherson front, Russian servicemen who have been demobilised are easily recognised by being poorly equipped; most of them lack military boots and other elements of clothing and equipment."

Details: The mobilised personnel of the Russian occupation forces are sent to war as needed depending on the operational situation; the command does not take their level of preparedness into account. In this way, the Russian military leadership is trying to hold the front line.

"Due to poor communication, there are occasional cases of so-called ‘friendly fire’ between the enemy’s units," the report said.

During the day Sunday [23 October – ed.], units of the Ukrainian defence forces repelled attacks by the occupiers in the settlements of Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Novomykhailivka, Marinka, Nevelske, Pervomaiske and Avdiivka (Donetsk Oblast).

The invaders fired at positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the line of contact and conducted air reconnaissance. Over the past 24 hours, Russians have continued to strike critical infrastructure and civilian residential buildings, in violation of international humanitarian law and the laws and customs of war.

In total, Russians carried out three missile attacks and 25 air strikes, as well as more than 30 attacks from multiple rocket launchers.

Civilian infrastructure targets in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and Novotavrycheske (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) came under Russian fire.

The occupiers carried out the following attacks:

  • on the Krupiansk and Lyman fronts: Russian forces used mortars, tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Yampolivka, Kamianka and Bilohorivka;
  • on the Bakhmut front: Russian forces used tank guns, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Ozarianivka, Opytne, Soledar and Yakovlivka (Donetsk Oblast);
  • on the Avdiivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: Russian forces used tank guns and various types of artillery to fire on areas in and around Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Vodiane, Novomykhailivka, Marinka, Prechystivka, Novopil, Novosilka and Zaliznychne.
  • on the Pivdennyi Buh front: fired on the military and civilian infrastructure of the cities and towns, which are not far from the contact line. Nikopol and Illinka (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast) were hit by rocket and barrel artillery.

According to updated information, the destruction of Russian manpower and equipment during the course of 22 October has been confirmed. In Enerhodar, as a result of fire damage, four 122-mm howitzer D-30s and three trucks with ammunition were destroyed, up to 50 Russian servicemen were killed, and about 40 more were wounded. On one of the fronts, two Russian Uragan multiple-launch rocket systems were hit along with their combat crews.

The Ukrainian Air Force carried out six strikes over the past 24 hours. Six clusters of Russian military personnel and equipment are confirmed to have been hit. Previously, during the day Sunday [23 October], air defence units shot down 12 Shahed-136 UAVs.

Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery of the Ukrainian Ground Forces hit Russian command posts, five clusters of military personnel, weapons and equipment, an ammunition storage point, and a Russian anti-aircraft missile system.
