36 missiles fired at Ukraine since night of 21-22 October: world must stop this terror – Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that since the night of 21-22 October, Russians have fired 36 missiles at Ukraine; most of these were shot down.

Quote: "At night, the enemy [Russians] launched a massive attack: 36 rockets, most of which were shot down."
Details: Zelenskyy published a photo of the consequences of the Russian attack for one of the energy facilities.
"The photo is just one of the examples of how the enemy tries to break us! These are vile strikes on critical facilities. Typical terrorist tactics. The world can and must stop this terror", he wrote.
Previously: Earlier, the Air Force of Ukraine reported that on the morning of 22 October, Russia attacked Ukraine using X-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles; 18 of these were shot down by air defence systems.
Background:
- On 22 October, a long-lasting air-raid siren sounded twice throughout Ukraine (except temporarily occupied Crimea). The Russian forces struck energy facilities in many regions of Ukraine.
- According to information from the Office of the President of Ukraine, Russian missile attacks left 1,451,603 Ukrainians without electricity throughout the country.
- Following Russian missile attacks on infrastructure facilities, Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, called on Western countries not to delay the provision of air defence systems to his country.
