Ukrainian Armed Forces hit concentrations of Russian troops and their air defence systems in Ukraine's south

The Ukrainian military have attacked Russian positions from the sky and on the ground in Ukraine’s south, in particular in the Beryslav and Kakhovka districts (Kherson Oblast) and Bashtanka district (Mykolaiv Oblast).

Quote: "The enemy used a Shahed-136 kamikaze drone to attack the village of Shevchenkivka and struck the village of Novovoskresenske with the S-300 anti-aircraft missile. Both villages are in Beryslav district on the right bank of the Dnipro River and have been recently liberated. There are no casualties."

Details: The Russians have attacked the villages of Nova Kamianka and Tryfonivka three times using helicopters. They have made five more helicopter strikes on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and used attack aircraft twice. A Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile unit struck one of the Russian ground attack aircraft.

Another anti-aircraft missile unit has also shot down a Russian Orlan-10 UAV.

Ukraine’s Airforce carried out 10 strikes on the concentrations of Russian equipment and strongholds in Beryslav and Bashtanka districts, and on Russian air defence positions in Kakhovka district.

Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery performed 220 firing missions, resulting in the following known Russian losses:

  •  17 military personnel
  • a Grad multiple-launch rocket system
  • a tank
  • a mortar
  • three armoured vehicles
  • three ammunition dumps in Beryslav district.

In addition, six Russian armoured vehicles and two mortars have been damaged.
