Zelenskyy convenes Supreme Commander's Office: discussed advances at the front and sky protection

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine convened a meeting of the staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Friday, where they discussed defence against enemy missiles and drones, as well as the advancement of Ukrainian forces.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "I held a meeting of the staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief today. The main items on the agenda are quite obvious – protection of our skies from enemy missiles and drones, protection of our public utilities, destruction of the occupiers’ positions, advancement of our forces and everything necessary to support the army. The military, intelligence, and ministers were reporting.

Every day we are bringing the results Ukraine needs both on the ground and in the air closer. We are also working on the necessary results at sea."

Details: Zelenskyy also reported that "in the east and south of Ukraine, active hostilities are ongoing, our Armed Forces retain the initiative".

According to the president's website, during the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, and Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, reported on the operational environment in the main areas of the front, as well as on the main places of concentration of the enemy's forces and assets, as well as their likely actions in the nearest future. Further steps regarding the protection and liberation of Ukrainian territories were also coordinated.

Separately, attendees of the meeting focused on measures intended to organise an effective air defence system of Ukraine and cover strategically important objects. The issues of restoring munitions, military equipment and air defence equipment were discussed, considering the needs of the Armed Forces.

In addition, the issue of providing the army with munitions and their distribution among various units was discussed at the meeting.
