Russia sends 2,000 conscripts to Kherson Oblast – General Staff

Up to 2,000 Russian conscripts have arrived in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast to replenish losses and reinforce units.

Details: Occupation authorities have issued an order to prepare evacuation for the so-called "banking institutions". There are evacuation lists of the Russian medical workers and teachers who were brought in. Humanitarian facilities in Kherson are being shut down. 

Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled the Russian occupiers’ attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast), Opytne, Bakhmut, Pobieda, and Marinka (Donetsk Oblast).

The Russians carried out 3 missile and 24 air strikes, and they fired using MLRS more than 30 times. More than 15 settlements came under fire, including Mykolaiv (Mykolaiv Oblast), Nova Kamianka and Mala Seidemynukha (Kherson Oblast), and Hatyshche (Kharkiv Oblast).

Russian troops used cruise and anti-aircraft guided missiles, as well as 20 Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones.

On the Volyn, Polissia, and Sivershchyna fronts, the situation remains unchanged. The Russian army opened fire on other fronts:

  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front: from tanks, mortars, and tubed artillery; on areas near the Starytsia, Krasne, and Khatnie settlements; 
  • On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts: from tubed and rocket artillery; on Berestove, Zarichne, Nove, Pershotravneve, Stelmakhivka, Terny, and Yampolivka; 
  • On the Bakhmut front: from tanks and artillery, hitting Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bilohorivka, Zelenopillia, Spirne, Ivanhrad, and Yakovlivka;
  • On the Avdiivka front: from tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery, striking Vodiane, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske, and Semenivka; 
  • On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: on areas in and around the settlements of Vremivka, Vuhledar, Dorozhnianka, Neskuchne, Novodanylivka, and Stepova; 
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front: up to 20 settlements among the entire line of contact came under fire. The occupiers launched UAVs of various types more than 20 times in order to conduct air reconnaissance missions. 

The invaders keep trying to advance on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts. 

Ukrainian aircraft carried out five airstrikes over the past day. Three strong points and areas where their weaponry and military equipment were concentrated, as well as two anti-aircraft missile system positions, were struck. Ukrainian air defence units shot down 15 UAVs. Rocket and Artillery Forces hit four command posts, seven areas of concentration of manpower, weaponry, and military equipment, an ammunition storage point, an air defence system, a bridge and a pontoon bridge crossing belonging to the Russians. 

More than 30 wounded after the Ukrainian army’s strikes arrived at the hospital of Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia Oblast at the same time.
