Zelenskyy on Kerch Bridge explosion: we definitely did not order it

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has rejected Russia's accusations that the explosion on the Kerch Bridge on 8 October was orchestrated by Ukrainian special services.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "We definitely didn't order this [the explosion on the Kerch Bridge - ed.], as far as I know."
Details: The president suggested that the explosion on the bridge could have been the result of an internal Russian struggle between the special services and the military.
"There are many power verticals [top-down command structures]. It's a big system. In the Soviet Union, it was the KGB. Today it consists of several branches that are constantly deciding which of them is the main one," the president added.
Background:
- On 8 October, there was an explosion on the Kerch Bridge. A Russian investigative committee concluded that it was organised by Ukrainian special services.
