Details: State Enterprise NEC "Ukrenergo" imposed a power outage at 23:24 on 19 October.
The blackout will last up to four hours for each customer. However, some customers may experience repeated blackouts during the same day eight hours later if Ukrenergo does not cancel stabilisation power outages. For instance, if a home was disconnected from the power line from 8:00 to 12:00, then the second disconnection might take place from 20:00 pm to 00:00, if the stabilisation power outage lasts 24 hours. DTEK Group prepared a list of streets that might be affected by the outage.
City authorities are calling on the citizens of Kyiv to consume electricity in moderation. That includes turning on energy-consuming devices one at a time, and reducing electricity consumption as much as possible from 17:00 to 23:00. Businesses are asked to limit the external lighting of offices, restaurants, and shopping centres.
On 20 October, buses will take over 21 out of 38 trolleybus routes in order to save electricity in the city. The list of routes where transport will be changed is available here.
Background: Ukraine has been imposing temporary restriction of electricity supply following Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure on October 20.
