Russian occupiers want to evacuate about 50-60,000 residents from 4 districts in Kherson Oblast

Representatives of the occupation "administration" of Kherson and the oblast are planning to take approximately 50,000-60,000 residents from 4 right-bank districts in the oblast to the left bank of the Dnipro river or to Russia due to the alleged preparation of a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Quote from Saldo: "I have taken the difficult but correct decision to announce the organised transfer of the civilian population of Berislav, Bilozerka, Snihurivka and Oleksandrivka municipalities to the left bank of the Dnipro (river).

We calculated that approximately 50,000-60,000 people are planned to be moved to the left bank of the Dnipro (river)."

Details: Saldo said that people will be removed gradually and free of charge by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation and the so-called "government" of Kherson Oblast. Saldo is confident that this will take about a week.

He added that there are already boats in the city's river port with people who are allegedly ready to go to the left bank, but there is no tension in the city.

Saldo stated that there is allegedly "an immediate danger of flooding of areas due to the planned destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam and the discharge of water from the cascade of power plants upstream of the Dnipro river."

He said that if the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy the lock chambers of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, the water in two districts of Kherson may rise by one metre. That is why the collaborators in Kherson Oblast have allegedly already increased the discharge of water through the canal system in order to protect the city from possible flooding in the event of damage to the hydroelectric power plant's lock chambers.

Saldo added that residents of the oblast who decide to move to Russia will allegedly be provided with housing certificates.

Stremousov stated that as of the morning of 19 October, the situation in Kherson Oblast "has not changed", but the Armed Forces of Ukraine could allegedly "start advancing at any moment".

He urged residents of Kherson to move to the left bank "as quickly as possible".
