Ukraine's Armed Forces repel attacks near 6 settlements and strike Russian military targets – General Staff

Ukrainian defenders have struck Russian troop positions in and around six settlements in Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts.

Details: Over the past day, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled the occupiers’ attacks near the settlements of Berestove (Kharkiv Oblast), Bakhmut, Ivanhrad, Klishchiivka, Pervomaiske, and Marinka (Donetsk Oblast).

The Russians carried out 10 missile strikes and 58 airstrikes; they also fired multiple-rocket launchers up to 60 times during the past day.

The Russian army hit the vicinities of more than 35 settlements, including Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts; Bilohorivka, Terny, Krasnohorivka, and Marinka (Donetsk Oblast); and Nova Kamianka and Bilohirka (Kherson Oblast). The occupiers used cruise missiles, air-launched missiles, and anti-aircraft guided missiles for these attacks. Moreover, 43 Iranian-made Shahed-136 UAVs were used; Ukrainian soldiers shot down 38 of them.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the situation remains unchanged. There is a continuing threat of missile and air strikes, and the use of Iranian-made Shahed-136 attack drones from the territory of Belarus. 

The Russian army opened fire on other fronts:

• On the Sivershchyna front: on the areas in and around Senkivka (Chernihiv Oblast) and Seredyna-Buda and Dmytrivka (Sumy Oblast) with artillery of various types; 

• On the Slobozhanshchyna front: on the areas in and around Khatnie, Starytsia, and Strilecha with tanks, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery; 
• On the Kupiansk front: on the areas in and around Berestove, Hrianykivka, Dvorichna, Kotliarivka, Serebrianka, and Stelmakhivka with mortars and tubed and rocket artillery; 
• On the Lyman front: on the areas in and around Bilohorivka, Hrekivka, Zarichne, Nadiia, Novoyehorivka, and Terny with artillery of different calibres; 
• On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts: along the entire line of contact with tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery; 
• On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: on the areas in and around more than 15 settlements, including Bilohirya, Bohoyavlenka, Vuhledar, Malynivka, Orikhiv, and Shevchenko; 
• On the Pivdennyi Buh front: on military and civilian infrastructure facilities. Fires broke out in more than 20 settlements along the entire line of contact. The Russians launched more than 30 UAVs for purposes of air reconnaissance.

The General Staff has reported that the invaders are seizing construction materials and estate steel structures from the private households of civilians in Blahodatne (Kherson Oblast) in order to equip engineer fortifications. 

Ukrainian aircraft carried out more than 22 strikes over the past day. It was confirmed that 18 areas of concentration of the invaders’ weapons and military equipment were hit, as were a command post and 3 Russian anti-aircraft missile systems. In addition, Ukrainian air defence units shot down 3 cruise missiles launched by the Russians.

Ukrainian Rocket and Artillery Forces hit a Russian command post, an area of concentration of the invaders’ manpower, weaponry and military equipment, two air defence positions and artillery systems, one munition storage, and other military targets of the Russians.
