An explosion was heard in Odesa on the evening of 17 October. Preliminary information indicates that a Shahed-136 drone was shot down over the city.

Details: An air-raid siren has been activated in the city of Odesa and Odesa Oblast.

Updated at 17:52: Operational Command Pivden (South) reported that a Russian operational-tactical UAV aimed at Odesa was destroyed by Ukrainian air defence forces over the sea.

Updated at 17:24: The spokesman for the Odesa Oblast Military Administration, Serhii Bratchuk, reported the downing of a Russian drone.
