Quote: "This morning, Russian terrorists once again attacked the energy infrastructure of Ukraine in three regions.
Five drone strikes have been recorded in Kyiv. Energy facilities and a residential building are damaged. The aggressor also launched rocket attacks on critical infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy oblasts. Hundreds of settlements have had their electricity cut off as a result of the attack," the prime minister wrote.
Shmyhal said that the personnel of all relevant services were currently working on neutralising the consequences of the attacks and restoring the power supply.
"Each oblast has an emergency response plan. And we appeal to Ukrainians to take the same united and conscious approach of frugal electricity consumption to stabilise the energy system. This particularly concerns the peak hours," Shmyhal urged citizens.
Reminder:
Energy infrastructure facilities in central and northern oblasts of Ukraine were damaged in morning attacks by the Russian Federation. Ukrenergo, the national energy company, does not rule out the possibility of introducing rolling emergency shutdowns.
