Chechen soldiers evict civilians to accommodate officers in Rubizhne – General Staff report

Newly arrived soldiers from the Chechen Republic have started evicting civilians from their homes to accommodate officers in the city of Rubizhne in Luhansk Oblast.

Details: Over a 24-hour period on 15 October, Russians launched 5 missiles and landed 23 air strikes, and fired from MLRS up to 60 times.
The occupiers hit the vicinities of more than 30 settlements. This refers to Nikopol and Shakhtarske in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; Hlushkivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Orikhiv and Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Dmytrivka in Kyiv Oblast; Bilohirka in Kherson Oblast; and Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast.
The situation on the Volyn and Polissia fronts [Ukraine’s northwest and north, respectively] remains without any changes. There is a threat of missile strikes, airstrikes, and Shahed-136 attack UAVs being launched from the territory of Belarus.
Russian forces fired on other fronts:
- On the Sivershchyna front: on areas in and around Mykolaivka (Chernihiv Oblast) and Pokrovka (Sumy Oblast) with artillery of different types. They have used attack UAVs, as well;
- On the Slobozhanshchyna front: on areas of the Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Starytsia, Hatyshche, Pishchane, Kamianka, and Dvorichna settlements, using tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery;
- On the Kramatorsk front: along the entire line of contact, with tanks and artillery systems of various calibres. Specifically, the invaders fired at Bilohorivka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novoyehorivka, Rozdolivka, and Serebrianka;
- On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts: along the whole line of contact with tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery.
- On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: 15 settlements, including Vuhledar, Vremivka, Paraskoviivka, Prechystivka, and Shcherbaky.
- On the Pivdennyi Buh front: more than 25 settlements along the line of contact came under fire.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully repelled Russian attacks in areas of Torske and Spirne settlements on the Kramatorsk front; Berestove, Soledar, and Bakhmut on the Bakhmut front; and Marinka, Pobieda, and Nevelske on the Avdiivka front.
The Air Force of Ukraine has carried out 32 strikes, hitting 24 clusters of weaponry and military equipment, as well as 8 positions of anti-aircraft missile systems. Our units of air defence have shot down six UAVs and one helicopter belonging to the Russians. The Rocket and Artillery forces have struck three areas of concentration of manpower, weaponry, and equipment; one ammunition storage point; seven air defence systems, and other military targets.
Information has been obtained regarding the results of certain Ukrainian strikes. As a result of our artillery units’ attacks in Marfopil in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, an ammunition storage site was destroyed; up to 20 occupiers were injured at the same time. 10 units of military equipment were destroyed and up to 40 soldiers were injured in Tokmak. Up to 30 invaders were injured in Polohy. Seven units of military equipment were destroyed and approximately 40 soldiers injured in Kamianka-Dniprovska. The number of casualties that the occupiers are trying to hide is being clarified.
