"Schlumberger has been funding war crimes and genocide by remaining in Russia. Now it is cooperating with the authorities concerning the drafting of its employees. I have warned all Western companies about it. The only way to save the remains of its reputation is to pull out of  Russia right now", Kuleba wrote on his Twitter account.

Earlier, the Reuters news agency reported that the employees of the American oilfield service firm Schlumberger started receiving military draft notices, and the company itself does not allow its staff to switch to telecommuting outside Russia.

The agency states that the company’s cooperation with the Russian authorities by delivering the military draft notices and its refusal to allow its Russian staff to work remotely outside the borders of Russia has caused a backlash.

Reuters reported that over 9,000 people work at the Russian affiliate of Schlumberger, which makes up nearly 10% of the company’s workforce worldwide. According to the internal document viewed by the agency, dozens of Russian employees have fled the country.
