Zelenskyy visits wounded soldiers and presents awards

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has visited a military hospital on the occasion of Ukraine’s Defender Day.

Details: Zelenskyy has visited intensive care and trauma units. Doctors have informed him about the nature of the injuries that the fighters had suffered, as well as the course of their treatment and recovery.
The President has spoken with the wounded soldiers, thanked them and presented state awards for courage and selflessness shown in combat.
He has also met with the medical staff of the military hospital and presented them with state awards for dedication and professionalism, providing medical aid and saving people's lives under wartime conditions.
"You are defenders of Ukraine, too, as you save the lives of our soldiers. All the fighters say that our doctors are of the highest class", Zelenskyy said.
Presidential press service reports that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, an effective system of evacuating the wounded for appropriate treatment has been launched in this hospital. Since the end of February, the medical facility has been providing highly specialised assistance to wounded, injured and sick soldiers, more than 60% of whom recovered and returned to their combat units.
The hospital constantly helps Ukrainian soldiers released from captivity. An effective system of psychological rehabilitation has also been established there.
