Air defence will help end war as soon as possible – Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that providing Ukraine with air defence systems will represent a fundamental step towards ending the war in the near future.

Quote: "I ask you at all levels – in politics, in the media, in communication with voters – to [stand by providing] Ukraine with a sufficient number of modern anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence systems. We need to protect our sky from Russian [terrorist attacks] [by the end of this year]. [Doing this] will be a fundamental step to end[ing] the war in the near future."

Previously: On 13 October, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a resolution calling the Russian Federation a terrorist regime. An additional amendment calling for the provision of air defence systems for Ukraine was included in the resolution.
