Ukraine has received its first IRIS-T air defence system from Germany.
This was reported by Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, European Pravda writes.
The minister confirmed that Ukraine has received its first IRIS-T air defence system from Germany.
A new era of air defence has begun in 🇺🇦. IRIS-Ts from 🇩🇪 are already here. 🇺🇸 NASAMS are coming. This is only the beginning. And we need more. No doubt that russia is a terrorist state.

German media reported on Tuesday that Germany had already handed over the first of four promised IRIS-T SLM anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine. The delivery of the next three systems is planned for next year.
The IRIS-T SLM air defence system is primarily designed to protect civilian populations by repelling air attacks from the Russian army. It is considered one of the most advanced air defence systems, which is not even in service with the Bundeswehr.
Previously: Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, reported that another four high-mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS) had arrived in Ukraine from the USA.
