Ukraine brings back 37 children deported by Russians from Kharkiv Oblast

The Russians illegally deported 37 children from the temporarily occupied territory of Kharkiv Oblast in the summer of 2022.
The Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories reported that they have now been brought back to Ukraine.
"At the end of August, the children were forcibly taken from Kharkiv Oblast to the Russian village of Kabardinka [near the town of Gelendzhik in Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation], despite the fact that they all have parents," the Ministry stated.
At the time of writing, the children were staying in shelters for internally displaced persons in the picturesque villages of Bilky and Horinchovo in Zakarpattia Oblast of Ukraine.
"The process of bringing them home was difficult but successful. The parents travelled a long way through several European countries to get their children back," the Ministry noted.
The mission to bring them home was carried out jointly with the State Migration Service of Ukraine and the SOS Children's Villages Ukraine organisation.
Reminder: The Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories has estimated that Russia deported and illegally detained almost 8,000 Ukrainian children.
Russia claims that forcibly deported children allegedly liked the Russian Federation.
