Ukrainian Armed Forces strike 4 concentrations of Russian manpower – General Staff report

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have struck four areas of concentration of enemy manpower and have repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of five towns and villages over the course of 10 October.

Quote: "Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out more than 61 missile strikes and 32 airstrikes, as well as around 92 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems [MLRS].
[Ukrianian] air defence units destroyed 73 [Russian] air targets on different fronts, including 46 cruise missiles and 27 unmanned aerial vehicles [UAVs].
Infrastructure in more than 30 cities, towns and villages sustained damage as a result of the mass missile strike [on 10 October], including in Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Pryluky, Nizhyn, Konotop, Kharkiv, Kremenchuk, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa. Peaceful citizens of Ukraine have been killed and injured."
Details: The General Staff explained that the Russian occupiers are continuing to attempt to maintain control over previously occupied territories, are firing on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, focusing their efforts on thwarting Ukrainian counteroffensive operations, and attempting to advance on some fronts.
There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.
According to the information available, the Belarusian government is continuing to support the Russian Federation in its war against Ukraine. In particular, by allowing Russia to use the Belarusian airspace and airfield network in order to carry out airstrikes on Ukraine.
Ukraine’s defence forces [collective name for all Ukrainian military formations involved in the ongoing combat in this country - ed.] are controlling the situation on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. As of 06:00 on 11 October, there are no indications that assault groups are being formed on the territory of Belarus.
On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets:
- On the Sivernshchyna front: the Russians used mortars, as well as tubed and rocket artillery, to fire on areas in an around Yanzhoulivka, Tymonovychi and Mykhalchyna Sloboda in Chernihiv Oblast, and Bilopillia and Myropillia in Sumy Oblast;
- On the Slobozhanshchyna front: Russian forces used tank guns and artillery to fire on areas in and around Ivashky, Strilecha, Hurivka, Kamianka, Dvorichna, Stelmakhivka, Borshchova, Sotnytskyi Kozachok, Huriv Kozachok, Kozacha Lopan, Vilkhuvatka and Chuhunivka;
- On the Kramatorsk front: Russian forces used tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire all along the line of contact, including on areas in and around Bilohorivka, Hrekivka, Novoiehorivka, Raihorodok, Pershotravneve, Novoliubivka, Makiivka, Nove, Zarichne, Terny, Serebrianka and Hryhorivka;
- On the Bakhmut front: areas in and around Siversk, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Maiorsk, Kurdiumivka, New-York, Krasna Hora, Chasiv Yar, Yakovlivka, Zelenopillia and Odradivka;
- Russian forces did not undertake active combat operations on the Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts. Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Nevelske, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Vremivka, Zelene Pole, Novosilka, Shcherbaky, Novopil, Novomykolaivka, Huliaipilske, Dorozhnianka, Temyrivka and Chervone came under Russian fire;
- Russian forces ramped up attacks using tank guns and various types of artillery on the Pivdennyi Buh front. The following towns and villages came under Russian fire: Vyshchetarasivka, Novokyivka, Pravdyne, Myrne, Ternovi Pody, Liubomyrivka, Shyroke, Kyselivka, Chervona Dolyna, Blahodativka, Davydiv Brid and Nova Kamianka.
Over the course of the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Maiorsk, Soledar and Pervomaiske.
Russian forces are continuing to suffer losses in Ukraine. Ukrainian forces destroyed around 15 pieces of enemy military equipment near Bilozerka in Kherson Oblast on 9 October.
On 10 October, Ukrainian forces struck a hangar where enemy military equipment was stored near Beryslav; Russia’s exact losses there have yet to be confirmed.
University professors and teachers at other higher education institutions in Kherson who are collaborating with the occupation authorities are being advised to move to Russian-occupied Crimea. It has also been reported that in case of "complications" on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine’s Crimea, Russian occupation authorities have plans to evacuate the families of top law enforcement officers serving in Crimea.
Russian occupiers are searching for patriotically-minded Ukrainian citizens in the city of Starobilsk in Luhansk Oblast; they are also detaining family members and friends of Ukrainian military personnel, as well as Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
The General Staff also reported that Russian occupiers are using the search for Ukrainian saboteurs as a cover-up to search for their own deserters.
Ukrainian aircraft carried out 6 airstrikes on 10 October, striking 4 areas of concentration of Russian weapons and equipment and 2 anti-aircraft defence systems. In addition, Ukrainian air defence forces struck down an enemy Su-25 jet.
Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck a Russian command post, 4 areas where Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment were concentrated, one S-300 anti-aircraft defence system and one ammunition storage point.
