Zelenskyy and Biden have “productive” conversation about air defence for Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had a "productive conversation" with US President Joe Biden. The two presidents discussed, among other things, air defence systems that the US is expected to provide for Ukraine.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "A productive conversation with [the US President Joe Biden]. Air defence is currently the number one priority in our defence partnership. We also need US leadership on [ensuring] G7’s tough position and supporting our resolution at the UN General Assembly."

Previously: Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, had a call with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

Kuleba said that they discussed coordinating their countries’ efforts on organising a decisive response to Russia’s actions at the UN General Assembly.

Kuleba also spoke with the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs and called on her to ensure that Ukraine’s allies coordinate their efforts in order to speed up the delivery of air defence systems and missile defence systems to Ukraine.
