Details: The Russians are continuing to collect the personal information of residents of the temporarily occupied territories under different pretexts.

The passport information of residents is a valuable resource for the occupiers since it allows them to strengthen their control over locals and makes the process of issuing Russian passports and imitating the legitimacy of the "referendum" easier.

This is why the Russians are actively blocking Ukrainian social payments in order to leave them without the means of livelihood and make them dependent on the Russian administration.

In particular, on 7 September in Melitopol, the last PrivatBank (a Ukrainian bank) branch was closed. In order to get Russian social aid, one has to provide the Russians with personal information or have a Russian passport.

Residents of the temporarily occupied territories are being warned: the occupying administrative centres are collecting applications with personal information of the residents under different pretexts. After the personal information is entered into databases, the applications are being thrown away because the occupiers don’t need them – they only need the personal information.

This information is also being collected by the occupying police, who stop people in the streets for "spot checks".

The National Resistance Center calls upon residents to avoid sharing their personal information if possible.

Quote: "Try not to leave the house unless absolutely necessary. Don’t engage in administrative actions for re-registering property or other optional actions which require turning to the occupying "administration".
