Ukrainian air defence activated in Kremenchuk and Zaporizhzhia, explosions rock Russian-occupied Melitopol

On the evening of 7 September, local governments in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and the Kremenchuk district in Poltava Oblast reported that Ukrainian air defence systems were activated, following air-raid sirens being sounded. Meanwhile, explosions rocked the Russian-occupied city of Melitopol.

Quote from Lunin: "Explosions that could be heard in the Kremenchuk district accompanied the activation of the air defence systems. Please stay calm and remain in shelters."

Quote from Starukh: "The loud sound that could be heard very recently [in the city of Zaporizhzhia] accompanied the activation of the air defence systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Our defenders have saved us from another enemy strike."

Quote from Fedorov: "The occupiers’ evening is no longer peaceful in Melitopol. Explosions were heard in the southeastern part of the city. Details are being confirmed."
